Westminster's Outreach Team helps the congregation engage in missions locally and beyond. Here's where we show up:
Loaves & Fishes Without judgment and in a spirit of hospitality, Sacramento's Loaves & Fishes feeds the hungry and shelters the homeless. A team of Westminster volunteers shows up the first Saturday of every month, preparing meals and serving guests in the food line. Westminster's famous meatloaf is a staple of the day.
Sacramento ACT Sacramento Area Congregations Together is a multi-faith organization of more than fifty congregations, schools, and neighborhood groups working for a more just Sacramento. In any given week, Westminster's members can be found organizing around immigration, advocating at the Capitol across the street, and leading acts of public witness—including monthly prayer vigils at the John E. Moss Federal Building.
Youth Service Trips Westminster's youth don't just learn about faith-based service. They live it. Each summer, our young people travel to serve the elderly, poor, and marginalized through the Sierra Service Project, a Christian-based mission organization with over 40 years of experience. They leave focused on themselves and come back focused on others.
